STG Vehicles
Special Tactics Group (STG) vehicles are purpose-built to support high-risk police operations. Their primary purpose is to transport STG officers, specialised equipment, and tactical resources safely and efficiently to critical incidents. These vehicles are designed for rapid deployment, enhanced protection, and operational versatility, allowing STG teams to respond effectively to situations such as armed offenders, hostage events, counter-terrorism operations, and other serious threats to public safety. Rules and Policy around using STG vehicles- Vehicles must only be used at a page, unless directed otherwise by STG Command.
- Vehicles include the armoured SUVs/Utes, unmarked response vehicles or any covert vehicles.
Non-Leadership
Drone Policy
- Only one drone may be operated at any time.
- Purpose: gather intelligence on suspects, environment, and weapons. Information must be relayed to the team.
- Deployment: must be authorised by STG TL, STG Command, or Tactical Command.
- Drones may not be used outside STG operational duties.
STG Uniforms
- All S.T.G Operators identities are hidden, this means you are required to wear a full face (mask) covering when deployed as STG - if you are doing surveillance, you do not have to have a full face covering (mask)
- When S.T.G Operators are deployed Black Role, you are to wear the basic AOS Black Role (Officer Uniform) with any tactical equipment.
- When S.T.G Operators are deployed Green Role, you are to wear the basic AOS Green Role (Officer Uniform) OR another plain tactical green role uniform with any tactical equipment.
- When S.T.G Operators are deployed Grey Role, you are to wear plain clothes, either formal or non-formal with any tactical equipment.
